Driveline modifications:
Immediately following the initial turbo kit install, the factory clutch gave out.   It was replaced by an RPS carbon claw clutch for the NA 5spd.  Not sure on the specifics, but believe it was a ceramic 6 puck disc.   We encountered many obstacles in getting this clutch to work at all.  The first pressure plate was improperly balanced, sending a shimmy through the whole driveline.  The car was torn down again, 2nd clutch wouldn't release, so it was torn down again.  RPS suggested to shim the pressure plate where it connects to the flywheel.  Nice suggestion.  So the clutch was re-installed with wave washers to get the correct thickness.  Clutch has always been chattery, can't hold the 400-450rwhp that the car puts out in race form (race gas and open downpipe).   In March of 2003 the disc is having problems releasing again.   This time an ACT clutch is installed with the Horsepower Freaks Bronze disk.  Supposedly the ACT plate is 35% stiffer than stock whereas the RPS plate is 10% stiffer.  This combined with the new HPF disc is supposed to hold enough torque for cars that have 700+rwhp.  We'll see.

Other driveline mods are:  TRD Supra TT automatic Limited Slip Differential planned in Summer of 2003.
