The new YEStationMini family of thin clients just raised the bar for performance, while lowering the desktop space requirement. Built around an Intel®-compatible SIS 550 processor that can run either Windows® CE.NET or Linux operating systems, the new hardware platform is 35% smaller, 20% faster, uses 30% less power and is 29% less expensive than other thin clients.

YEStationMini has a very small footprint — only 7.75" by 6" by 1.5" — and can be mounted vertically on a wall or attached to a monitor. The unit weighs only 1.5 pounds allowing for optimal mounting options, and low shipping costs.

YEStation® MAX
Affirmative Computer Products® is proud to announce two high-end models, dubbed YEStation® MAX. The model 2814 runs embedded Linux while the model 2817 runs Windows XP Embedded (XPe). Both units are configured for maximum performance and are tailored to the needs of AS/400 and iSeries users. The new YEStation® MAX is built around an Intel-compatible Eden 733 MHz processor, the fastest chip available with convection cooling, eliminating the need for a fan and preserving the no-moving-parts design employed by all Affirmative Thin Clients.

YEStation® MAX has a small foot print, only 9.25 by 8.25 by 2.0 inches, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally, even under a monitor. The unit weighs only 3.5 pounds allowing for optimal mounting options, and low shipping costs.

YEStation® MAX, model 2814, provides 5250e and 3270e terminal emulation with a built-in Graphical User Interface option as well as ICA and RDP clients for connections to Windows Terminal Services and Citrix servers. The local Internet Browser is Netscape 7.X (identical to Mozilla) for access to Web Enabled Applications, including email.

Model 2817 runs Windows Embedded XP (XPe) and includes YESterm IP, Internet Explorer 6, ICA, RDP and Outlook Express. The standard configuration has 256MB Compact Flash and 128MB RAM. This model can run any Windows-compatible application using local resources, or via Windows Terminal Services or Citrix.

AIO is an acronym for All-In-One and this product certainly qualifies by integrating the logic and display elements to reduce the total desktop footprint to only 42 square inches (7 X 6). The software, loaded from local Disk On Chip (DOC), includes Windows CE and RDP, ICA, IE Browser Terminal Emulation clients and SNMP clients. Ports include Parallel, Serial (2), 10/100 Ethernet, PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse, Audio in, Audio out, and USB (2).

The AIO comes with a 300 MHz Media Gx1 micro processor, 32 MB of SDRAM, and 16 MB of Disk On Chip. The video resolution is fixed at 1024 by 768 and the LCD panel measures 15 1/8 inches viewable, which is comparable to a 17-inch CRT monitor.

YEStablet™

The YEStablet™ is a wireless, portable, Thin Client, Windows Based Terminal with advanced features applicable to a wide variety of applications. The device provides access to Web-enabled applications, Windows Terminal Services, Citrix Servers and IBM host computers via 5250 and 3270 terminal emulation.

YEStablet™ features a bright 8.4 inch TFT–LCD screen with 800 by 600 resolution, touch screen support and pop-up keyboard in two sizes. Windows, Browser and IBM terminal emulation can be operated using the stylus provided and the popup, on-screen keyboard used only when data input is required.

YEStablet™ is an ideal solution for workers in factories, warehouses, and hospitals, or anywhere mobility and real time access to Internet, Intranet, Windows and IBM 5250/3270 applications will improve user productivity.The tablet includes a larger screen, compared to a PDA, allowing for a pop-up touch-screen keyboard so users need not learn a new handwriting style and can access real-time applications on a wide variety of servers and hosts. The unit weighs only 1.8 pounds and has non-slip rubber handles on both sides with easy access to keyboard and scroll buttons. The user interface is the familiar Windows desktop with icons and push-button controls for all applications, including legacy IBM application programs. A USB port is provided for attachment of peripherals including keyboard, bar code scanner and printers. Affirmative Computer Products specializes in Thin Clients for users of IBM AS/400, iSeries, S/390 and zSeries systems.

Consequently, the YEStablet™ is equipped with TN5250e and TN3270e terminal emulation software that is able to convert green screens to a Windows-like user interface with push button controls for Menus, Function Keys and Sub-file options. This feature is contained within the tablet and requires no changes to the host software.

Affirmative Linux Based Terminal

The Affirmative Linux Based Terminal (LBT) provides capabilities not available with Windows Based Terminals running Windows CE. Scaleable Windows and Java Virtual Machine along with a Netscape 4.77 Browser that can be used as a Domino/Notes client. The XPDF reader Plug In provides Adobe Acrobat Reader functionality.The package also includes YESterm 5250 emulation and X Windows for UNIX hosts. The LBT also eliminates AS/400 reconnect problems after a power failure.
